As an organisation dedicated to ensuring that quality is the driving principle behind all we do, we at IDS are extremely proud that following a rigorous 3rd year audit our internal processes and procedures have been re-certified as meeting the exacting ISO9001 and IS027001 standards for Quality Management and Information Security.

ISO is an independent, non-governmental international organisation with a membership of 165 national standards bodies. Through its members, it brings together experts to share knowledge and develop voluntary, consensus-based, International Standards that support innovation and provide solutions to common global business challenges for all types and sizes of business.

The ISO9001 standard is based on established quality management principles with emphasis on a strong customer focus, buy-in from top management, the process approach and the desire for continual improvements. ISO27001 specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving an information security management system. This includes the assessment and treatment of information security risks tailored to the specific needs of our business.

With both the ISO9001 and 27001 frameworks underpinning every aspect of the IDS business our aim is to ensure that we continue to deliver consistent, good-quality products and services whilst managing the security of assets such as financial information, intellectual property and employee details. Also, most importantly, it provides the critical safeguards needed to reassure our customers and partners that any confidential information entrusted to us as an essential requirement of our client engagements, is fully protected.

At IDS we take information security very seriously and in addition to gaining ISO27001 recognition our IT systems have also now been certified as compliant with the Government-backed Cyber Essentials Plus scheme.  Cyber Essentials Plus certifies that all our network security systems and procedures are correctly configured and maintained including firewalls and anti-malware software, and that strong user access and account management is deployed, protecting the system from the vast majority of common cyber-attacks that could threaten the integrity of our servers and end-points.

Cyber Essentials Plus is the highest level of the Government scheme and involves a process of rigorous external auditing.

Going forward we are committed to continual investment in our Information security management procedures ensuring our systems meet the requirements set out in providing further reassurance that protecting our own as well as our customers’ data is our top priority.
