# Cleansing

**Here you can edit the background of the section**

### iData generates pre-canned, suggested cleanse transformation scripts based on the data structures so customers can benefit from continually assessing their data quality levels.

The cleansing process is the configuration part of this methodology. iData generates pre-canned, suggested cleanse transformation scripts based on the data structures.

Modifying those scripts becomes a task which is in-line with the profiling output and any business decisions which have been made from its analysis. Cleansing data, focuses on finding and fixing issues with structure, removing unwanted characters and whitespace plus many other transformations.

One of the biggest issues in data is when records are duplicated many times, iData provides an ability to find and rectify those additional records through similar record checking.
